Research suggest that mindfulness helps us tune out distractions and improves our memory and attention skills. It also improves our ability to recall information and helps us regulate our emotions. Those who practice mindfulness can experience a decrease in emotional reactivity and an increase in cognitive focus. Practising mindfulness involves acceptance in that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judgement, meaning there is no right or wrong way to think or feel in a given moment. When we practice mindfulness, we tune into what we’re sensing at the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future.
The block costs £24 for the 3 weeks. For concessions (students / those in receipt of their pension) there is a reduction to £19. Please don't let cost put you off - I have subsidised places available for all of my events - get contact to arrange.
The sessions can be attended on an individual basis for £10 / £8 per session - there is a separate advert to book in this way.
If you're booking into the Qi Gong block, which runs after this, please get in contact for a discount.
Please note that there is no session on 21st October.
