Mindfulness for Parent/Guardian & Baby - Taster Session - Bonnybridge

Like the idea of practising mindfulness, but find it's almost impossible to balance around the demands of parenthood? Bring your baby along to this session and learn how to practice mindfulness in different ways - it's not just about sitting on a cushion in silence. This session is for parents / guardians to take time to relate both to themselves and their babies in a different way. Don't worry if your baby is unsettled, crying or restless - everyone attending will also have a baby there, silence is not expected!

This is a taster session, which is reflected in the price. Hopefully at the end of the session we'll have the chance to chat about whether people would like to see regular sessions in Bonnybridge.

Mindfulness is a practice that is becoming more and more widely used. If a regular practice is developed, mindfulness can help with us feeling less overwhelmed by life - more responsive to life, rather than being pulled all over the place by our reactions. There is a good evidence base for mindfulness helping with a variety of things such as stress, anxiety, depression, physical pain. It is a way for us to connect with ourselves.

Meditation cushions are provided, although if you have your own you may wish to bring them for extra comfort. Please bring along a yoga mat and a blanket for your comfort.

Babies up until the age of 1 - or pre-walking - are welcome. If you're unsure, please get in contact.
