This is the final week of a 5 week course - An Introduction to Mindfulness and can be attended on an individual basis.
The session is entitled "compassion to self and others". We think about how important it is to be kind and compassionate to other people, but we often forget about ourselves. In this session, we will discuss why self-compassion is so important, to enable us to be compassionate to others. In this session, we will undertake a loving kindness practice, and we will look at issues such as how we communicate with loved ones in times of difficulty.
The session will contain a variety of mindful practices, with some discussion about what mindfulness is, how it can be useful, and how to use it in everyday life. There will also be a detailed hand-out, emailed after the session which will have some suggested audio practices to use at home.
