Susie and Phil from Pause & Breathe are excited to bring this full day of Mindfulness and Qi Gong to The Yoga Tree, Stirling. The day is entitled "Leaning into Summer", as we start to move towards warmer weather, longer days and light nights. We will use both mindfulness and Qi Gong practices to help get our energy up for the summer months.
Qi Gong has a powerful effect on the whole of the body and mind. Every Qi Gong exercise has an effect on the whole energetic system, allowing energy (qi) to flow freely. Phil will share with us Shibashi Qi Gong, which can enhance health and wellbeing. In this day we will cover 6 of the 18 postures, focusing on breath, energy and movement. Mindfulness is the perfect partner to Qi Gong, as it endeavours to bring body and mind together, to be truly present in this moment. In our mindfulness practices during the day, Susie will share practices to enable us to welcome in summer and to appreciate impermanence.
The day is suitable both for beginners and experienced practitioners. It is possible to practice Qi Gong with mobility difficulties - each posture can be adapted, and it is feasible to practice whilst sitting on a chair.
The cost of the day is £60, concessions (people in receipt of their pension and students) pay £48.
