Susie Hooper teaches mindfulness via Pause & Breathe www.pauseandbreathe.co.uk. Susie's own practice helps her better understand her emotions and be less reactive and overwhelmed by them than she once was. She's learnt to be more self-compassionate, listen less to unhelpful, self-critical internal chatter. Susie loves sharing mindfulness with others as widely as possible and seeing the benefits when they take the practice into their own lives. She holds regular sessions, day retreats and facilitates courses for school teachers and the parents of their students and for social workers.
Bridget found yoga years ago in her native LA and attributes it to cultivating focus, patience and proving that practice yields results - skills especially difficult for someone with ADHD. She often thought one day she'd do a teacher training to learn more about yoga philosophy and strengthen her practice. FFWD to Bridget finding herself in Glasgow and feeling stuck in an unhealthy marriage that was nearing 5 years. She walked away. She felt broken and alone but she embarked on that training she'd thought of for so long. Aspects of the philosophy helped her find her true Self. (love) Strengthening her practice showed her an inner strength she hadn't known was there. The results she managed made her want to share what she was able to tap into with others - those who can also use some Self, love, strength and patience.
Gill McKinna has been practicing Lomi Lomi massage with pure intention for many years via Eden Lomi Lomi Massage. She enjoys the sense of calmness, relaxation and care that it offers her clients. Lomi Lomi is a traditional Hawaiian massage aimed at restoring balance within the body, mind and spirit. Using pure coconut oil, it is performed using hands, palms and forearms in long sweeping strokes up and down the length of the body. Rhythmic strokes and movements are performed at varying degrees of depth and intensity to relieve tension, encourage awareness and revitalise in a warm and comforting environment. She was introduced to Lomi Lomi following a desire to develop her massage practice to beyond that of just 'the body' and in the world of Lomi Lomi, developed her understanding of the interplay between the self and the environment, and the need to nourish this relationship. www.facebook.com/edenlomilomi/

• I left the retreat with a lighter step and a calmer head. Thank you
• Arrived flustered like a chicken left soaring like an eagle
• It felt very balanced, pace was consistently relaxed and very comfortable
• This is my first wellbeing retreat and I found a perfect balance of mind and body relaxation. I would definitely go again.
• I would highly recommend this weekend as a great way to stop, contemplate, refresh and find joy in relaxation
