This session is a chance for families to learn to practice mindfulness together. We find that children are often learning about mindfulness at school, and some parents and carers are learning about mindfulness through community resources - however, there is little opportunity to learn alongside each other.
During these Sunday afternoon sessions, we will have the chance to discuss a little bit about what mindfulness is and how it's useful, before moving on to share a variety of practices. Don't worry if your child(ren) has a short attention span - this isn't about sitting in stillness! Although exercises using the breath can be useful, we can engage with all of the senses to build a mindful focus.
In this session we will be focusing on appreciation and gratitude.
Children have to be aged between 5-12 years old to get the most benefit from the session.
The ticket listed is for one adult and one child. There are additional bookings for additional adults or children (£5 per addition). This event is suitable for those in parental roles, or adults who have caring responsibilities in any form (for example, I've had a query about a grandparent coming with grandchildren - this would work really well). All children must be accompanied by an adult. Any questions, please do get in touch.
In the afternoon there will be hot drinks, flavoured water and healthy snacks (ie: fruit, nuts, dried fruit) available.
Do get in contact if you'd like to book through me, thereby avoiding the booking fee. Also let me know if you have any queries: firstname.lastname@example.org
