Join us once a month in the Yoga Tree, as we discuss books with a theme of wellbeing. This is an opportunity to get together, and to share thoughts over some hot drinks and biscuits. We may also have the time to share a mindfulness practice. The book club will meet on the first Wednesday of the month.
This month we are discussing "Rumi's Little Book of Life" by Rumi. You may well have seen quotes by Rumi, or seen poems. This is a lovely collection of translations. The invitation will be to choose a poem to share with the group (this is optional). Rumi was a 13th century Persian poet, his poems have been widely translated into many languages. One of my favourite Rumi quotes is "your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it....and love them".
During the time we have together we may also have a mindfulness practice. This sometimes takes the form of a deep relaxation at the end of the session, setting you up for a good night's sleep when you return home.
