This retreat is for people who facilitate, or teach, some form of wellbeing practices. This weekend will give facilitators the time to unwind together, to share different forms of practice and offer each other peer support. We often find that we can work in isolation, meeting lots of people that we teach or support, but that peer support can be more difficult to find.
The aim of this weekend is simply to take the time to experience that which we offer to others. The venue, Eden Leisure Village, is a family run business, consisting of various glamping pods and hobbit huts. It's positioned in some lovely countryside, and hopefully we could have some time outside. As well as this, we have access to a Barn area, where we can share practices such as mindfulness, yoga, pilates (and whatever else may be on offer). There is a BBQ hut, and a large kitchen space, where we will share meals together as well as some downtime.
My hope is that some people who are attending will offer to share different sessions, workshops or talks. I am a mindfulness teacher, and will be offering some mindfulness sessions. I've already had some offers, so know that there will be a variety of things for folk to dip into. This is also a great opportunity to network, and meet people from all over who work in the wellbeing field.
There is a salon on site, which offers all sorts of treatments, including massages. please do feel free to book into this during the weekend, but please be aware that this is separate to the retreat - have a look at www.edenleisurevillage.co.uk for more details.
The retreat starts at 3pm on Friday 20th September, and will continue until Sunday 22nd September at 12pm. Meals are provided - these will be vegetarian. Other dietary requirements may be able to be catered for - please check this before booking (there may be a small additional cost). I'm endeavouring to keep the costs down low, partly as I know that money can be really tight when working in this field. I really would like this to be accessible to folk with all sorts of wellbeing experiences. Please do get in contact if you're unsure whether this is for you.
At the time of booking, I'm taking a £50 deposit. The retreat costs £200 in total, which needs to be paid in full by the end of July. If you are interested, but the full weekend is proving difficult, do get in touch. I aim to have one night available instead of two, or all day on Saturday. When booking, do let me know if there's someone in particular you'd like to share accommodation with - this makes it easier for me when allocating!
My details are: firstname.lastname@example.org - get in contact with queries, or to book avoiding the booking fee being added.
