Autumn Reset - Day Retreat

𝐀 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐐𝐢 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐡, 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠.

A wonderful opportunity to step back from the busyness of life, by simply allowing yourself this time to pause to reset your body and mind, as we transition into the season of Autumn, in the beautiful, tranquil setting of Beechbrae Wood.

Throughout the day you'll be invited to experience various types of mindfulness meditation in the spacious studio, a mindful walk in stunning surroundings, including a contemplative labyrinth walk, and ending with a relaxing soundbath.

𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞:
-10:30am - welcome and introduction
-Morning session - includes mindfulness of breath and body meditation, Qi Gong mindful movement session, and labyrinth walk
-12:30-1:15pm - lunch
-Afternoon session - includes mindful woodland walk and ends with a rest practice and relaxing soundbath
-4:00pm - close

𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝:
A selection of teas and coffee, water, fruit and snacks are included and will be provided throughout the day. Please bring your own lunch with you to suit your dietary requirements. There are indoor and outdoor breakout spaces available for you to sit and connect with others, or wander during the lunchtime break.

𝐄𝐥𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐬, 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐞
Pause to Be was established by Elspeth Lewis in 2019 to share the life-enhancing benefits of mindfulness with others. Elspeth is a certified Mindfulness Teacher, sound practitioner and author, based in Edinburgh, Scotland. She is also a parent to two teenagers and a lively golden retriever.


Elspeth holds a Mindfulness Teaching qualification in the Mindfulness-Based Living Course (MBLC) with Shamash Alidina's Teach Mindfulness Academy, accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA). She also holds a Level 1 Multi-instrument integral sound healing qualification from the Sound Healing Academy.She has also trained in the mindfulness-based approach of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Training) for adults and adolescents, is a registered member of the CMA, and holds PVG Scheme Membership.

𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫, 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞
Susie worked as a Social Worker within Criminal Justice for 20 years, and is passionate about helping people to make difficult changes. Since the beginning of 2017, Susie has been delivering mindfulness within her local community in Falkirk. She co-founded Pause & Breathe CIC with her husband, Phil Blackburn and is delighted to have opened The Place to Pause & Breathe in Bonnybridge and The Place for Martial Arts & Wellbeing in Bo'ness - bringing people together in community. Susie is a Mindfulness Coach, a certified Daring to Rest Facilitator and a Qi Gong instructor. Her approach is trauma-sensitive, and she is an advocate of giving participants choice in everything she offers.

𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
Elspeth is delighted to be supported on the day by 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐲 𝐌𝐮𝐢𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐡𝐚'𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐲 who will be sharing a selection of her beautiful gifts and jewellery on the day. Tracey is also very kindly including a small gift for each participant. As well as creating beautiful crystal pieces, Tracey is also a Reiki Master, and holds diplomas in Crystal Reiki, Crystal Healing, Yoga and much more!
