Building Self-Compassion

  • The Place to Pause & Breathe 18 High Street BONNYBRIDGE, FK4 1DA United Kingdom (map)

In this workshop we will be building self-compassion. Specifically, we’ll use a three-step model that’s from Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer’s excellent work on self-compassion. We'll talk through the three steps involved, and work on making them specific to you.

Building self-compassion is crucial for mental resilience, reducing anxiety and depression, and fostering overall well-being by replacing harsh self-criticism with kindness, acceptance, and understanding, which helps you navigate challenges, learn from mistakes, and build healthier relationships. It activates your body's soothing system, lowers stress hormones, and promotes a growth mindset, making you more capable of managing difficult emotions and achieving goals from a place of support, not fear.

Sueie will be the facilitator for this session.

This session is being held on Friday 6th February 10-11.30am, in The Place to Pause & Breathe, Bonnybridge. The session costs £5 to attend. Hot drinks and snacks will be available.
