We have been awarded funding from Falkirk Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund to run Friday Wellbeing sessions from 2026-2028. Over these two years we’ll be offering different activities on a Friday morning, with different facilitators, all designed to support participant’s mental, physical, emotional and social health.
These sessions are completely free for participants, which includes all equipment and materials used. The sessions runs from 10-11am, we’ll stay together until 11.30am for hot drinks, biscuits and a chat.
We offer a wide range of different activities, from mindful workshops to movement to creative workshops - art, poetry, writing - the variety means that there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Often my dog Phin will be there - please let me know if this doesn’t work for you. We know that some people are allergic, or prefer not to have a dog in their space - this is absolutely fine!
Let's Talk About Death! - FREE Friday Wellbeing
“Let’s Talk About Death” workshops are friendly, down-to-earth gatherings where one of life’s biggest topics is brought out of the shadows and into warm, welcoming conversation.
These events invite people to pull up a chair, grab a cup of tea, and talk openly about death, dying, and everything in between.
New Moon Circle - FREE Friday Wellbeing
New moon = New beginnings. A New Moon phase occurs when the moon is completely dark with zero luminosity. The space before the new moon cycle begins is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with your inner calm, to find clarity to manifest more of what you would like to welcome into your life.
We will gather together, beginning with some breathing techniques, leading us into guided meditation.
Exploring & Practising Mudras and Mantras - FREE Friday Wellbeing
This session is for anyone who is curious about how you can support your sense of wellbeing and calm through exploring the use of Mudras and Mantras from a yoga perspective.
No experience necessary, we will journey at a pace allowing for learning, sharing and experiencing with ease.
Beltane Morning - FREE Friday Wellbeing
An invitation to celebrate the arrival of Beltane, the Celtic festival that celebrates the peak of spring and the beginning of summer. Representing fertility, growth and the blossoming of life.
Take time to join Lisa for some rejuvenating movement & breathwork, reflect on what is blossoming for you and rest in the energy of a nourishing Beltane Yoga Nidra.
Mindful Eating - Friday Wellbeing
In this session participants will be encouraged to explore mindful eating. The session is not about dieting or judging. Its just about noticing.
The session will invite participants to take part in a guided mindful 'tasting' of a choice of various snacks. During this they will be encouraged to self reflect on the experience.
Paper Remix Workshop - Friday Wellbeing
Unleash your creativity in this hands-on session where we transform old magazines into mini artworks. You’ll learn how to compose an image using colour and form by cutting and layering diverse imagery and text to build unique visual stories.
Enjoying exploring a vast library of vintage and modern materials. Deconstruct images to find hidden meanings and textures.
Chair Yoga - Friday Wellbeing
Chair yoga is an accessible style of yoga, that offers all the benefits of yoga in a gentle and non-impact way. It can help to improve flexibility, circulation, and joint mobility without strain. It supports balance, posture, and muscle strength while remaining accessible for everyone.
Creative Writing and You - Friday Wellbeing
Ready to spark your imagination + break through the blank page perhaps for the first time?
This starter session is an intro to Creative Writing to help feel less intimidated while understanding that writing starts with you (not talent) by trying short, low-pressure writing activities.
Come along for a personal and supported morning of writing inspired by your own story.

Self-love isn’t about becoming someone different — it’s about learning to relate to yourself with more kindness, respect and understanding.
In this gentle, supportive one-hour workshop we’ll explore what self-love really means, using a simple and compassionate definition: valuing yourself as a human being who is worthy of care, growth and belonging.
Developing a Growth Mindset - Friday Wellbeing

Kimchi-Making - Friday Wellbeing
Fermented foods have so many health benefits - it's something that in the West we're just starting to realise. Our Kimchi Community cafe in July went so well that we're gathering again to make kimchi together, and find out more about the ways this can improve our health.
Indian Head Massage - Friday Morning Wellbeing Session
This session will demonstrate how to carry out a 30 minute Indian Head Massage to treat self and friends and family. It will give participants the opportunity to try out the technique and also to receive a treatment of no contraindications.
Getting Our Needs Met Workshop - Friday Wellbeing
This workshop is based around Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. We'll consider what are needs are, how we currently are/aren't meeting them and how we can make changes to live healthier, more fulfilled lives. We need to have our most basic needs met before we can find self-fulfillment.
Belly-Dancing for Confidence: Friday Morning Wellbeing Session
"Belly-Dancing is one of the oldest forms of dance. It promotes balance, strength, digestion, co-ordination and confidence.”
The class will include dancing and confidence coaching.
There will be fun and celebration.
Dress in comfortable clothes.

Halloween Quiz - Friday Wellbeing
Join us for a Halloween Quiz - dressing up is optional (but encouraged!). This will be a fun quiz - not too competitive! Participants will be in two teams, so don't worry about needing to get everything right.

Procrastination Workshop - Friday Wellbeing
Do you generally put things off> Or faff around, not getting the things done that you need to do? There are so many distractions in our lives - it's a wonder we get anything done at all!
In this workshop I explore some of the reasons why we procrastinate. I also explore some of the benefits to putting things off (yes - there are definitely some!), before sharing some tools about how to stop.
Cultivating Courage Workshop - Friday Wellbeing
In this workshop I’ll be talking a little about what courage is – and drawing on some great writers about this subject. We’re going to have a practice where we invite courage into the body, to see how it feels and I’ll share some techniques to increase courage.
If there's something that you're putting off doing, or you generally would like to feel a little bit braver - this workshop is for you!
Self-Acceptance Workshop - Friday Wellbeing
In this workshop I'll share some techniques to help us unhook from our internal self-critic - which can be loud and unyielding. I'll offer a technique from ACT (Acceptance Commitment Training) to unhook from negative self-beliefs, which can hold us back and get us down.
When we learn to listen to our self-critic less, we start to move toward self-acceptance, which can feel freeing.
Wild Swim & Cake
Join us for a Wild Swim in Little Denny Reservoir, followed by whatever you fancy from the Courtyard Cafe in Denny. Wild swimming offers a host of benefits, from increasing feelings of happiness and satisfaction to reducing anxiety and helping with inflammation. There's also a great sense of community that comes from swimming together, and it can help to build feelings of resilience.
Self-Healing Techniques
This session will benefit those who are in physical or emotional pain, or who are curious about using their own energy to prevent problems building.

Songwriting Workshop - Friday Wellbeing
Lynsey will show you how she writes a song - from creating verses and choruses, to how it all fits together. She'll demonstrate how she puts the chords to her songs, and how to put the music to the words.
If you've ever been interested in how songs are put together, this workshop is for you.
Rest & Restore - Friday Wellbeing
Take some time to really rest, and restore your body and mind.
Join us for some gentle restorative yoga poses, followed by a Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation meditation). This session will be gentle and accessible.
