The DARE Approach to Managing Anxiety - Free Friday Wellbeing

This session will introduce participants to try the DARE approach to managing anxiety and panic attacks. It is for everyone who struggles with anxiety. You are not alone!

The method,developed by Barry McDonagh looks at approaching anxiety in a different way and is based on sound psychological principles.

By the end of the session, learners will understand the four elements of the DARE approach and apply them to mild-to-moderate anxiety provoking scenarios

Christine Muirhead from Vision Wellbeing will be the facilitator for this session.

This session is being held on Friday 9th October 10-11.30am, in The Place to Pause & Breathe, Bonnybridge.

These sessions are free, as they have been funded by Falkirk Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing. They are designed to support participant's overall health and wellbeing, increasing community connections and reducing loneliness. Although they are free, please only book in if you are definitely attending as numbers are limited. Meet Your Facilitator:

Christine is a retired Behavioural Science lecturer and is interested in sharing ways of dealing with anxiety with others. Christine has worked in the community since retiring from lecturing and has taught stress management,anxiety management and mindfulness. Christine is keen to introduce people to helpful methods she uses herself and knows only too well how debilitating anxiety can be.
