Free Your Voice

  • The Place to Pause & Breathe 83 Broomhill Road Bonnybridge, Scotland, FK4 2AT United Kingdom (map)

Our FREE Wellbeing session this week is "Free Your Voice" with Morag from Sound Balance Scotland.

Did you know that your voice is the most powerful sound healing instrument you possess? By making simple sounds you send waves of vibration through your body deep into the cells. Even humming is very powerful - it can clear your sinuses, vibrating into your nasal cavity, it can increase your body's levels of nitric oxide which dilates the blood vessels and increases blood flow. Chanting and singing is also a joyful experience.

No previous experience needed. If you are nervous about using your voice, this workshop is definitely for you. Morag says she used to be terrified to use her voice in public. We will start with a simple vocal warm up, continue with some group toning (making healing vowel sounds) and we will continue with some simple chants from different world traditions. Morag will have her beautiful harmonium and shruti box to accompany us.

Our Free Wellbeing Sessions are held every Friday morning in The Place to Pause and Breathe, Bonnybridge. These have been funded via Falkirk Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund. These sessions are held on an ongoing basis by Pause & Breathe, and we are delighted to welcome a range of guest facilitators throughout the year. You can come to all of them, or drop in and out. Please do book though, so we know how many people to expect.

The session takes place from 10-11am, with an open invitation to stay until 11.30am for a hot drink and a snack. Click here to book in.
