Imbolc in the Salt Caves

  • Health Booster Ltd Salt Caves, 55 Nasmyth Avenue, The Maxwell, East Kilbride, Glasgow, Scotland, G75 0BE United Kingdom (map)

"Resting into the first signs of spring".

Imbolc marks the first stirrings of spring. There’s still a chill in the air, but the days are beginning to stretch and we might catch sight of a snowdrop or notice that it’s still light when we’re heading home.

On 30th January, we’ll gather in the soft glow of the Salt Caves, away from the January chill and the bustle of everyday life. It’s a chance to coorie in, take a breath and enjoy a little more of winter’s rest as the light begins to return. Perhaps in that space we’ll notice what’s beginning to stir in us, too.

We'll start our session with some gentle Qi Gong before moving to the recliners for a Yoga Nidra themed around Imbolc. The session will end with some silence - the chance to enjoy the relaxed ambiance of the salt caves, before emerging together into the light. We'll end with some hot drinks and a savoury grazing platter, making sure we are fully grounded before returning home.

Salt Caves (known as halotherapy) are good for respiratory and skin issues, helping to clear airways, reduce inflammation, and improve conditions like asthma, allergies, eczema, and psoriasis by inhaling microscopic salt particles; they also offer stress relief and relaxation in a tranquil setting.

The caves have comfortable chairs, so you can stretch out and relax fully - enjoying the experience on offer.

This will take place on Saturday 30th January 1-4.30pm. It's £65 to join me, which includes the grazing platter. Please let me know if you have any dietary requirements. This session is being facilitated by Susie from Pause & Breathe and is limited to 7 participants. There is the option to pay an additional £1, which goes toward our pay-it-forward spaces.
