Our Book Club meets every 2 months, to discuss a book based around wellbeing.
In this meet-up, we're going to be discussing "Mother Hunger" by Kelly McDaniel: How Adult Daughters Can Understand and Heal from Lost Nurturance, Protection and Guidance".
A synopsis of the book:
An endless ache to love and be loved. Periods of overeating or starving. A pattern of unstable moods and painful relationships. Sound familiar? Trauma psychotherapist Kelly McDaniel has seen these traits over and over in clients who feel trapped in cycles of harmful behaviours - and are unable to stop. Mother Hunger will help you break the cycle of destructive behaviour by taking a fresh look at childhood attachment injuries and their lasting impact. It offers a healing path.
