The 7 Types of Rest – finding what you really need
Rest isn’t just about sleep. In this workshop, inspired by Saundra Dalton-Smith’s TED Talk, we’ll explore the seven different types of rest and why having a balance of them matters for our wellbeing.
Together, we’ll gently look at how to recognise the kind of tiredness you’re experiencing — whether it’s physical, mental, emotional or something deeper — and how to understand which type of rest would truly support you right now.
This is a reflective, practical session offering insight, clarity and simple ways to respond more kindly to your own needs. A space to pause, learn, and reconnect with what helps you feel more nourished and restored.
Susie will be your facilitator for this workshop.

Meet Your Facilitator:
Susie is the co-founder of Pause & Breathe - a social enterprise that prioritises making wellbeing fully accessible. She is an accredited Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness teacher, Daring to Rest Yoga Nidra Facilitator, Qi Gong and Chair Yoga Facilitator and is just about to start training to teach Nia Dance.
Susie is passionate about creating safe spaces where participants can form connections and find community. She works with people to help them find self-acceptance, emotional balance and to get to know themselves better.
