Kimchi-Making - Friday Wellbeing

  • The Place to Pause & Breathe 18 High Street Bonnybridge, Scotland, FK4 1DA United Kingdom (map)

Fermented foods have so many health benefits - it's something that in the West we're just starting to realise. Our Kimchi Community cafe in July went so well that we're gathering again to make kimchi together, and find out more about the ways this can improve our health.

Come along and participate in a community style class to learn about the benefits of fermented food on the mind and body, and take part in making different types of kimchi. Each participant will take home two different types of kimchi to ferment at home. You can add in as much - or as little - spice as you like. Kimchi doesn't need to be super-hot, this is just the way many Koreans prefer it. Make it to suit your own taste buds.

This is being held on Friday 28th November 10-11.30am. The session costs £10 to attend, which includes two jars of different fermented foods to take home. Hot drinks and snacks will be available. If the price means you're unable to attend, please email: susie@pauseandbreathe.co.uk to see if we have funds available in our pay it forward scheme. For members, the price is £5 - use your discount code at the checkout. Click here to book

Kirsti is a nurse and former Midwife who has an interest in the gut mind biome. She has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia since 2010 and is always looking for ways to ease her symptoms using non medical methods. Fermented food not only tastes great but helps heal the gut barrier and has been a regular part of her life now for a few years.
