Dru Yoga: A Taster Session

  • The Place to Pause & Breathe 83 Broomhill Road Bonnybridge, Scotland, FK4 2AT United Kingdom (map)

Our FREE Wellbeing session this week is "Dru Yoga: A Taster Session" with Margaret Malcolmson from Yoga with Margaret.

Dru Yoga has its roots in hatha yoga and includes classical yoga postures (asanas), pranayama (breath work) and relaxation. It can be practised by people of all fitness levels and abilities. Joints are kept relaxed and soft during movement. All movements originate from the spine because a flexible, healthy spine supports the entire yoga practice.

Energy Block Release sequences (EBRs) are a unique feature. These are easy-to-practise, flowing movements which help to release tension physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Our Free Wellbeing Sessions are held every Friday morning in The Place to Pause and Breathe, Bonnybridge. These have been funded via Falkirk Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund. These sessions are held on an ongoing basis by Pause & Breathe, and we are delighted to welcome a range of guest facilitators throughout the year. You can come to all of them, or drop in and out. Please do book though, so we know how many people to expect.

The session takes place from 10-11am, with an open invitation to stay until 11.30am for a hot drink and a snack.

Meet your facilitator:

Margaret and her husband moved to Kilsyth from the Manchester area in 2014 to be near their daughter and her family. That same year Margaret began to train with Dru Scotland and qualified in 2016. She has experienced many schools of yoga, but Dru has been her mainstay since 2010. Margaret’s approach is relaxed and encouraging, and her teaching is delivered with a smile.
