Reiki Level 1 Training

  • The Place to Pause & Breathe 83 Broomhill Road Bonnybridge, Scotland, FK4 2AT United Kingdom (map)

Reiki is a safe, gentle, and relaxing healing method which can be learned and used easily by anyone.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Reiki is a safe, gentle and relaxing healing method which can be learned and used easily by anyone. At level one, people learn Reiki for their own personal use -as it is a great tool to use for relaxation and healing for yourself, and your friends and family.

Reiki 1 is suitable for complete beginners. You will be attuned to Reiki energy and shown how to use it safely and effectively on your family and friends. It is a standalone course that can lead on towards gaining practitioner status should you wish. For those who wish to undertake the full Reiki Practitioner Course then attendance on this Reiki 1 course should take place first before attending any of the other workshops.

Our Reiki 1 course consists of and includes the following:

  • What is Reiki?

  • Short history of Reiki

  • How to give a self-treatment of Reiki

  • Introduction to meditation and energy movements

  • In person attunement to the Reiki energy

  • One-one with tutor after 21 days of journaling self-treatment

  • Giving a seated Reiki treatment

If you wish to continue training in Reiki, you will have to carry out 30 treatments after Reiki 1, and it is recommended that you leave a minimum of 5 months between Reiki 1 and Reiki 2.

Please either bring your own lunch, or some vegetarian food to share. Tea and coffee and snacks will be provided.

The cost of the day is £120. For concessions (those in receipt of their pension, on lower incomes and students) this price is £96. Please only select this rate if you fall into one of these categories. We also have one space at £50, please get in contact if this would best suit you: susie@pauseandbreathe.co.uk.
