Coming Home to the Body - An Introduction to Mind Body Healing

  • The Place to Pause & Breathe` 83 Broomhill Road Bonnybridge, Scotland, FK4 2AT United Kingdom (map)

Join Louise at this introductory workshop about the mind body approach for healing chronic symptoms and learn how to drop out of the thinking mind and into the feeling body.

Chronic stress, trauma and unprocessed emotions can cause physical symptoms in the body, and learning to speak the language of our body through emotional embodiment and somatic practice can help us reduce these physical symptoms and bring us back into regulation.

During this introductory workshop Louise will share:

  • Her own story of recovery from 8 years of severe chronic symptoms that had left her housebound and using a wheelchair

  • The ways in which the brain and nervous system can be stuck in survival mode and how this can cause pain, fatigue and other symptoms

  • A practice you can start using straight away for emotional embodiment (a writing based somatic practice)

  • Resources to support you to learn more if you would like to.

This workshop is for you if you would like to build a deeper connection with your body and learn the ways in which our emotional landscape directly affects our physical health. You may be suffering from chronic symptoms yourself, or feel disconnected from your feelings or feel like your nervous system is stuck on hyperdrive. We will look at the link together and learn real, practical techniques to bring us back into alignment and regulation.

The workshop will be relaxed and you will be encouraged to make yourself comfy with time for a cuppa.

The session is being held on Thursday 9th May from 2-4pm. It's £25 to attend, with a reduced rate of £20 for those on lower incomes. Click here to book in.
