Nia Dance - 5-Week Block - Thursday Night - Bonnybridge

  • The Place to Pause & Breathe 18 High Street Bonnybridge, Scotland, FK4 1DA United Kingdom (map)

Over five weeks, we’ll journey together through the same Nia routine — AYA — inspired by joyful Latin rhythms and expressive movement.

Repeating the same routine each week gives us a chance to settle more deeply into the experience. Instead of concentrating on “getting it right,” we gradually let go of thinking about the steps and begin to enjoy the movement more naturally. The body starts to remember. Confidence grows. The dance becomes freer, more playful and more embodied.

Nia combines dance, mindfulness and functional movement in a way that supports both wellbeing and self-expression. There are 52 core moves within Nia, but this class isn’t about mastering them all. It’s about exploring movement in a way that feels good for your body, connecting with music, and discovering the joy of moving without judgement.

You’ll be guided throughout, with plenty of freedom to adapt movements to suit your own body and energy levels. No previous dance experience is needed — just a willingness to show up and move.

Come and experience the benefits of repetition, rhythm, movement and music in a welcoming and supportive space.

We dance Nia in bare feet - so please do be ready for this. If this won't work for you, you can work yoga socks (with grips), or very light (clean) shoes. Wear something comfortable to move in. You might like to bring a yoga mat and blanket for relaxation at the end. It's possible to have a chair if needed.

These sessions take place on Thursdays 7.15-8.15pm. The block starts on Thursday 21st May and finishes on 25th June. Please note that there is no session on 4th June.

This is a 5-week block- by booking for the full block, you get one session half price. It's £36 for the block, with reduced rates available - please pick the price that best fits your circumstances. There is the opportunity to contribute to our pay-it-forward scheme, helping to subsidise our reduced rate spaces. You can do this by paying an additional £1. If you are able to, please select this option. These sessions are included in our membership. Click here to book
